Privacy policy

IQurve is an IQ test app for entertainment. It works without an account: your results and settings stay on your phone. This page explains which data is used, why, and how to exercise your rights.

What stays on your phone
Your age range, your results, a paused test, your settings and the rating prompt history are stored on your phone only. They are erased when you uninstall the app, or with the "Delete my account and data" button in the settings.
What may be sent, and why
- Optional account (Google or Apple). If you sign in, Firebase Authentication (Google) receives an identifier and the account's email address (Apple lets you hide it). It lets you get the complete version back on another phone. Basis: providing the service you asked for. Kept until you delete the account, from the app.
- Usage statistics (Firebase Analytics), only if you accept them. They report the kind of test and score bands, never your name, to improve the app and make the test more accurate. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in the settings.
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics). When the app crashes: device model, system and app versions, technical details of the error, without your identity. Basis: our legitimate interest in fixing errors. Kept for 90 days.
- Notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging), only if you turn them on in the settings: a technical device identifier, to send you news. Basis: your consent.
- Update check (Firebase Remote Config): the app version, to know whether an update is required. Basis: our legitimate interest.
- Advertising (Google AdMob), only in the free test, just before the result. Google uses technical data (IP address, device, advertising identifier) to show and measure the ad and to fight fraud. In the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a Google form asks for your consent before any personalised ads; on iPhone, Apple also asks whether the app may track your activity. Without your consent, ads are not personalised. You can change your choice in the settings ("Ad choices"). No ads for buyers of the complete version. More: how Google uses data.
- Buying the complete version. Payment is handled by the App Store or Google Play: we never receive your payment details.
We sell no data. The score shown is an estimate for entertainment: it is not health data.
Providers and transfers
The services above are provided by Google Ireland Limited (Firebase, AdMob) and, for Sign in with Apple, by Apple. Some data may be processed outside the European Union, in particular in the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
Age
IQurve is meant for people aged 13 and over. If the law of your country sets a higher age for consent online, ask a parent before accepting statistics or personalised ads.
Your rights
You can access, correct and erase your data, object to its processing, ask for its portability and withdraw your consent at any time. The simplest way: the "Delete my account and data" button in the app's settings. For any request: support@iqurve.com. You may also complain to a data protection authority, in France the CNIL (cnil.fr).
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page is updated, and the app tells you about any important change.
